About that there 05 Mendocino Petite Sirah ("Did we have lunch let?"):

This here wine is comprised of catechins, flavonols, flavanones, and cinnamate derivatives, tartaric, malic and lactic acid (made by those little Leuconostoc oenos), norisoprenoids, aliphatic compounds, and monoterpenes, anthocyanins and polyphenols from grapes, ethanol from yeast, oak tannins from wood, and some other stuff........... Or, "What's for lunch?"

2005 Eden Stuart Petite Sirah Mendocino:

Analysis at bottling: 14.5% EtOH

Harvest dates: Sept. 30th & Oct. 20th 2005

Harvest analysis: 25 degrees Brix, 0.65 TA, 3.6pH

Aged in Hungarian Oak barrels for 18 months

Accessible yet remote, soft yet clear, fruity yet balanced. (infra)Red yet ultra-violet. Cold yet hot. Yes yet no, Dog yet cat.

Wonderful complexity and classic structure and fruit make this wine a must. What a mouthfeel! About as hand made as hand made can be.
